Voters weren't keen about another, more quirky Arizona measure: They defeated a proposal that would have awarded $1 million to a randomly selected voter in each general election.

Perhaps they could add to the competition: you're only in the running to win if you vote for the winning candidate. Oh the laughs.

Well NIC, I think that would encourage the two party system we have now.
I would suggest instant runoff voting, so you can vote your conscience first whilst knowing your vote will count even if your 'lone gun candidate' fails.

Perhaps we can go one step further and have "Please Vote Other Side" printed at the bottom on both sides of the ballot papers ;-)
